Mission San Miguel Arcangel - 1797 |

Mission San Miguel Arcangel was founded July 25, 1797 by Father Fermin Lasuen and named for Saint Michael the Archangel. In 1818 the present church was completed and the decoration finished three years later. This was the last mission to be secularized in 1934. In 1945 it was sold and was returned to the church in 1859. Restorations from 1901 until 1928 renovated the main buildings.
